Rye Brook, NY 鈥� September 5, 2017 鈥� In the wake of the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (青云体育) announced today that it will donate up to $1 million to help blood cancer patients who have been impacted by the storm.
Blood cancer patients living in declared disaster areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey, are eligible to receive $500 to help with cancer-related necessities such as transportation to treatment, lost or damaged medications and other needs directly related to the hurricane.
鈥淟iving with a blood cancer is difficult enough without the added stress of being displaced from your home or being unable to receive treatment because of a natural disaster,鈥� said Louis J. DeGennaro, Ph.D., president and CEO of 青云体育. 鈥淎s a 鈥榩atients first鈥� organization we are determined to provide critical support directly to those who need it. Patients鈥� lives literally depend on it.鈥�
